What these numbers actually say
- Four of the six leave from the far south of the island. Lefkimmi and Kavos are about an hour’s drive from Corfu Town. If you are staying in the north or arriving on a cruise ship, the $30 boat is not really a $30 boat once you add the transfer — and some of these operators only pick up from southern resorts.

The Blue Lagoon
A sheltered inlet among the Sivota islets on the mainland side of the channel, where shallow water over pale sand turns an unusually bright turquoise. It is a swim stop, not a place — there is nothing to walk to. Every one of the six boats anchors here, and this is the photograph that sells the trip.
Sivota
A working fishing village on the Epirus coast with a small harbour, tavernas along the water and a scatter of islets offshore — including the sea cave that most itineraries enter by boat. Boats give you somewhere between a short stroll and a couple of hours here, depending on the route.
Parga
A proper town, further down the coast — amphitheatre of pastel houses around a bay, a Venetian castle from the 11th century on the headland above, and beaches five minutes’ walk from the centre. Reaching it adds hours to the day, which is why only the 10–12 hour cruise includes it.
